Lariats - Versatile Jewelry from Margo Morrison.

What is a lariat? Lariats are a long decorated strand of jewelry. They range anywhere from 22 - 38" in length. What make a lariat so special is that it can be worn a variety of ways.

1. Drape it around your neck and loop over (don't tie a knot) allowing the ends to hang down in the front, as shown in the photo above.
2. Wear it as a necklace by looping as above and bring the ends around to your back. Great if you are wearing a sexy top with a low cut back, draws attention to your back.
3. Wear several lariats together for a layered look.
4. Wrap a lariat around your wrist for a chunky looking bracelet.
5. Twist several lariats together for a chunky necklace look.

Soup's on at my house!

Well, it's Wednesday night, I was feeling a bit lazy but really wanted a hearty meal. So I looked through my cabinet and found this Cherchies Chicken Pot Pie Soup. The "quick cooking" on the label got me excited. I stopped my my local grocery store and picked up a roasted chicken (alreadly cooked!). I needed a few other items like garlic, onions and olive oil and had them in my pantry.



I heated the water for the pasta, as instructed, and while that was heating I sauteed some garlic and onions in a pan with olive oil.


The soup mix from Cherchies was so well organized! Each ingredient was in it's own pouch. A little pouch of vegetables, one for the seasoning and then the pasta took up the rest of the bag. When the water reached a boil, I added the pasta. When it boiled again I added the chicken, vegetables, seasoning, and the garlic & onion mixture. I let it all simmer for 20 minutes...then tah-dah! I delicious meal. I couldn't believe how easy it really was to prepare and the results were just as good.



I dipped a bit of french bread in my soup.



I also served it with a little cheese & fruit platter. What a flavorful soup - it really tasted like chicken pot pie! A home cooked hearty and flavorful meal.
